It has long been accepted that reading is a vital tool that aids our children’s development.  When children are introduced to books early, they can often develop a passion for reading as well as learning. Books provide the opportunity for children to develop their skills in reading, writing and language. Moreover, multi-cultural books help all children, particularly children of colour to develop self-esteem, positive self-identity, emotional intelligence and social and citizenship skills.

That is why, we at Colourful Kids  believe that it is crucial for us to encourage our children to read from a very early age, and to find  the time to read to/with them, even if it’s just for 5 minutes before bedtime. We can always make this a special time with the right book and it’s a wonderful way for us busy parents/carers, to spend quality time with our children.

With the above in mind, we as parents of colourful kids have made it our mission, to make books and other products that promote our children’s learning and development more readily available, as well as reflect the society in which they live.

Hence, we have carefully taken the time to select this initial range of affordable books to cover various ages, written and illustrated by a wide range of authors. We have books for babies, toddlers, children and young people that are guaranteed to educate, entertain and enrich mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
